CRIMSON OMEN MOTH

This work captures the moth as a nocturnal emblem—drawn to light yet shaped by darkness. The crimson-marked body serves as a visual signal of intuition and quiet warning, while the layered wings unfold in deliberate balance, suspended between shadow and illumination.

Constructed through traditional intarsia, each wood segment is shaped, stained, and assembled by hand. Natural variations in grain and tone are preserved, allowing the material to guide the final form and reinforce the singular nature of the piece.
